Make an immediate booking
Allow user to make a booking right away. I'd like to use tripBAM to book my original room. Example: I shopped a New York rate, want to book it in tripBAM now, then have it get better over time. This way I'd have an immediate confirmation without having to book somewhere else first.
1 voteWhat if your original room isn’t the cheapest across the set of hotels at which you’d be willing to stay? Instead, you can just tell tripBAM to book the best qualifying, penalty-free rate across your favorite hotels when you first create your search. In fact, we default new searches to this mode. We’ll grab the best rate at the time and let you know about it within minutes of you saving the search. You’ll have an opportunity to confirm or decline the rate and within a couple of minutes the process is done. From that point on, tripBAM will continue to work hard finding the best qualifying rate across the set of hotels you selected. We hope this helps explain the process – if we misunderstood your suggestion, please let us know!

Save a cluster
Would be nice to have a "my clusters" in profile with ability to name them, e.g. NY business or NY vacation. Search should then have a radio button or some way to use my cluster.

Add a hotel compare feature
where you can select 3 - 4 properties and view like features and costs.
Such as parking, average breakfast cost, other amenities like:

Expand on the hotel content a little more.
Would like to see a brief description of the property and what complimentary amenities are offered. Would also like to see parking costs and number and types of restaurants.
The web site looks good..

I would like the option to go down a "star" level
Depending on the city and area - I may not want to go from a 4 star to 3 star property. However, i that does come back as an option - I want to an easy way to assess the property

Provide preformatted messages for social networks
Precreate messages - tripBAM just saved me $50 on my hotel stay and somehow incentivize users to promote. T-Shirt, coffee cup, cash.

add and monetize read about this hotel feature
read more button, see photos of this hotel button - sell the top spots as advertising to trip advisor and other content providers, crawl media mentions and aggregate more sticky content. gather digital assets on each hotel from multiple sources and tag with tripbam tags for SEO and highly visited photo section. add to cluster button on each photo

Allow booking of refundable deposit rates.
For hotels that require a one night deposit that is fully refundable, allow the user to select to accept these bookings or book and place the text on the confirmation page so user is clearly aware when the accept.

Searching Email
I would like the email to say "In Chicago, you’ve got the best rate at the moment but likely to drop as you get closer to check-in date" or something similar. Instead of just updating the number of checks, also confirm that what I have is the best price atm. That would make me feel good and not urge me to look around on my own just because I'm bored. Cuz I'll do that.

would be nice to set a savings threshold in my preferences to be used for future searches do I don't have to update my new search each time.

Remove the cluster card list
Does the user really need a list of the hotels in the cluster? They can see them on the map as well as in the main list (those with check marks). In addition, the user could have a Show My Cluster check box on the page to narrow the bigger list down.

Add more information to the confirmation email
In the hotel confirmation email, we should provide clear steps to confirm and continue to search.
- Read and agree to the hotel and rate terms and conditions. The reservation should be fully cancellable. Then, Confirm the booking.
- Continue to search for even better rates by selecting the Continue Searching button.
- Make any desired changes to the cluster (remove or add hotels) and settings (change the savings threshold).
- Done. The entire process should only take a minute or less.

In your FAQ section:
Why is it called tripBAM?← FAQ
The idea behind tripBAM is to be an advocate for the consumer and do whatever it takes to improve your rate. As batman fights crime, we fight over payment for hotels. As such, we BAM your rate and make it better by knocking it down. Get it?
You might want to capitalize the word Batman because it is a proper noun.

Allow search based upon address or landmark
have done several demos of new site in florida and I am consistently asked if the search can start with a destination address and/or city landmark (central park) rather than a hotel as the user may not have a preferred hotel or one already booked. cluster preference should be based upon profile settings or default if not profile exists (stars 3 & 4).
