  3. Star ratings based upon AAA or Michelin

    Find a third party source for star ratings for consistency.

  5. Allow search based upon address or landmark

    have done several demos of new site in florida and I am consistently asked if the search can start with a destination address and/or city landmark (central park) rather than a hotel as the user may not have a preferred hotel or one already booked. cluster preference should be based upon profile settings or default if not profile exists (stars 3 & 4).

  6. Add more information to the confirmation email

    In the hotel confirmation email, we should provide clear steps to confirm and continue to search.

    1. Read and agree to the hotel and rate terms and conditions. The reservation should be fully cancellable. Then, Confirm the booking.
    2. Continue to search for even better rates by selecting the Continue Searching button.
    3. Make any desired changes to the cluster (remove or add hotels) and settings (change the savings threshold).
    4. Done. The entire process should only take a minute or less.

  8. allow multiple city hotel searches to plan on where to stay with one easy search comparison....for example hotels on the Hawaii islands

  11. Either Remove or Better use the filter at bottom of my bookings/searches

    Seemed like the "filter" was more techy than user friendly and needs to be better integrated so it is intuitive. I was scared to hit "clear" as I thought it would wipe out all my reservations.

  12. Make the confirm button = I agree button to decrease number of "clicks"

    Seemed like when I received my Congrats e-mail and I went to confirm, I would click confirm and then it would come up with click this button to confirm. Why not just say by clicking confirm once you agree to cancel and rebook process.

  13. in your FAQ: Capitalize Batman

    In your FAQ section:
    Why is it called tripBAM?

    ← FAQ

    The idea behind tripBAM is to be an advocate for the consumer and do whatever it takes to improve your rate. As batman fights crime, we fight over payment for hotels. As such, we BAM your rate and make it better by knocking it down. Get it?

    You might want to capitalize the word Batman because it is a proper noun.

  14. Allow me to forward my hotel confirmation email to tripBAM

    I would like to forward the confirmation email I received from an online booking site to tripBAM as a way to start a new search for alternate hotels and rates. Ideally, tripBAM would parse the email to extract the current rate and respond with a link that takes me straight into a search with that hotel as my center point.

  15. Show a custom score or rate range to help me choose hotels

    I think I understand why tripBAM doesn't show rates - it's because I am able to tell tripBAM what my target rate is. However, it would be nice if tripBAM showed me some score indicating the re-booking success of a given hotel or perhaps a range of rates encountered at that hotel, if any, so that I can use this information to make better hotel cluster choices up-front.

  16. Provide preformatted messages for social networks

    Precreate messages - tripBAM just saved me $50 on my hotel stay and somehow incentivize users to promote. T-Shirt, coffee cup, cash.

  17. Savings required by property due to amenities

    The larger corporate market has negotiated amenities in their rate - parking, breakfast, and wireless. They'd like to require a minimum threshold of savings for when a traveler has booked at one of these hotels in order to give up on these add ins. Example - company has a $180 rate at the Marriott that includes breakfast and wireless. In order to move to a lower rate, they would need to save at least $10 for wireless plus $10 for breakfast (times 50% for expected usage) or $10 per night or $170 or less. They'd like to provide a table…

  18. Allow booking of refundable deposit rates.

    For hotels that require a one night deposit that is fully refundable, allow the user to select to accept these bookings or book and place the text on the confirmation page so user is clearly aware when the accept.

  19. Searching Email

    I would like the email to say "In Chicago, you’ve got the best rate at the moment but likely to drop as you get closer to check-in date" or something similar. Instead of just updating the number of checks, also confirm that what I have is the best price atm. That would make me feel good and not urge me to look around on my own just because I'm bored. Cuz I'll do that.

  20. Savings threshold in preferences

    would be nice to set a savings threshold in my preferences to be used for future searches do I don't have to update my new search each time.
