Do not send daily emails
I suggest you do not send daily emails like "tripBAM is still processing your search". I´m really getting tired of them. And when you have more one search, it gets even worse.
17 votesWe actually added a setting early 2015 under the Preferences page to turn off daily emails. Sorry we forgot to update this thread!
To access your preferences page, click on the ACCOUNT menu in the upper right, then click PREFERENCES. The setting is called "Send daily search emails and you can uncheck this to disable the daily emails.

Thanks for the feedback – we’ve been working on some great new interface changes and this is among them. Stay tuned!
UPDATE: As we’re sure you’ve noticed already, in 2015 we added a confirmation page that clearly registers both accepts and declines and helps you understand what we’ll be doing next. Usually, you don’t have to do anything and we’ll either continue shopping or stop shopping, depending on your choices on the previous page. Apologies for the late reply, there are a few ideas on our Support Site that we missed.

don't send an incorrect alert - 2 nights are more expensive than 1!
I'm booked for 2 nights at the Renaissance Washington in DC, for $236.00 per night. That's a total of $472 for TWO nights. I'm getting alerts for a cheaper rate of $384 or $334 PER NIGHT at that hotel... please check your search logic and calculate the nightly rates correctly.
Also, in the "Decline" reason list, you might want a button for "something's wrong with this rate."
Thanks!
3 votesThis was a support issue entered as an idea and saw that you ended up entering as a support issue. Just closing this out as it’s more of an issue report and we responded to that ticket accordingly. Thanks for using TRIPBAM!

In the daily update, tell the user the current hotel and rate.
When I receive the daily e-mail telling me about the search it doesn't Tell me my current hotel or rate. I would like to know this without having to sign in. Example "tripBam is processing your search for your hotel stay in Venice from November 15 through November 18. We currently have you at the Gritti Palace at a rate of $400.00 per night and are working hard to BAM your rate.

Can't click on a search in "my searches" to accept pending savings. The only active button is to restart, which clears the result.
A live link from the hotel name or an "accept" button could take you to the accept page.

Implemented in version 1.0.0, which was released on March 25, 2013. There is now a link under the search input that allows you to switch to “I don’t have a hotel” mode. Thanks for the great suggestion!

search hotel list
When you put in your city, the hotels that come up stop at the end of the first page. You cannot input a hotel after the first page if you do not know the name of the hotel.

Good email. This property shows as 4 star here, but look at the rate and Kayak shows as 3 star.
Would be good to have a link to "Update my Cluster" option. After reviewing a suggested property, I changed my mind and want to remove it. Might be good to have a "no savings yet - broaden your search" reminder if no savings after a few days.

When booking the best rate, the threshold rate should be new rate
When I selected to book the best rate and then went in to continue to search, the rate is blank and the book best is still checked. it should change to reflect the new booked rate and the check box unchecked.

By default, when you start using TRIPBAM you are in what we call “Shop Only” mode where you can preview the savings without making a reservation. When you review and accept an offer in this mode, you are prompted to “flip” the search to “Shop & Confirm” mode which makes actual bookings. Because we did not actually secure the originally offered rate with a real credit card, we have to re-shop and therefore re-offer that rate. If you respond to offers quickly enough, more often than not that rate will be available – but sometimes the rate changes or is no longer available.
That is how we work today – we do understand this process is not ideal from a User Experience perspective and take to heart your honest feedback. We are working on a UX redesign for our consumer site that should address this and many other usability concerns…

Pending booking icon
On the search list, change the icon to something different when a booking is pending. tripBAM uses the same edit icon which is confusing.

Set max adults and childern at 2
Most hotels can't support more than 4 in a room. We should limit the number of adults and children to only what we can support today to avoid wasted processing. 2 - Adults, 2 - Children, 4 max in one room.
